Internships

Graduate internships:

ICRAR (the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research), through its Curtin University node, the Curtin Institute of Radio Astronomy advertises expressions of interest for Graduate Internships. Paid internships of 6 – 12 months duration (with opportunities for ongoing career development) are offered in a range of areas including Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Technical Operations, Software/Computing, and Science (astrophysics and space science).

Graduate Interns work on research projects that translate their skillsets to radio astronomy and/or aligned activities.  Experience in a range of transferable skill areas include:

  • applied physics
  • high performance computing
  • mathematics and statistics
  • software engineering
  • data analytics
  • electrical/electronic engineering
  • radio frequency communications
  • systems engineering, space science
  • general technology (robotics, mechatronics, prototyping, fabrication, CAD etc),
