Curtin astronomy is already involved in a number of local and international collaborative projects associated with the Mileura Radio Quiet Park. Currently Curtin, CSIRO and a number of Australian and overseas universities are setting up a wide range of demonstrator type instruments within the park. Curtin Astronomy students will have an opportunity to become intimately involved with this ground breaking research. These activities are also attracting an increasing number of visiting researchers who provide valuable research seminars for the WA Astronomical community.

Curtin also has excellent links with the Perth Observatory. For many years Curtin Physics Students have undertaken Astronomy projects and summer projects at the observatory. Staff from the observatory also teach a number of Astronomy subjects at Curtin.

There are also many other projects of astronomical and educational significance within Western Australia, in other states and overseas. Here you will find links to these projects and related sites.
